Dr. Mello and Dr. Tabib- The Heart and Soul of NYC Smile Design
Meet Dr. Elisa Mello, a self-described book-worm, and Dr. Ramin Tabib, a born adventurer. Together they are the principals of NYC Smile Design, a collaborative practice that boasts of the highest quality of excellent dentistry, founded in 1994. They represent a team that specializes in different aspects of aesthetic dentistry, while continuing to master breaking developments in their profession. They are known for the rigorous standards that have always defined their practice. Believing in paying forward, they have also spent countless hours teaching postgraduate students at NYU College of Dentistry
But the truly unique value of their practice lies in the immediacy with which they can communicate and share their strengths and experience to benefit each patient: the doctors have maintained a warm and successful marriage throughout the years of their practice and have, with equal success, created the same warm and deeply caring atmosphere at NYC Smile Design.
One of the guiding principles of the doctors’ professional and personal lives is a shared belief in the importance of being a complete person: adhering to the highest professional standards while continuing to grow at the human level. Dr. Tabib, who enjoys running, and skiing, is also a student of life. He is constantly learning, and researching on different topics, especially in how to achieve optimal health, and having that reflect in your everyday life. He is passionate about cooking, photography and learning to play the acoustic guitar. Dr. Mello, whose joy is playing with her children and watching the world through their eyes, particularly enjoys baking, reading or relaxing by the beach. Always a student, she is hoping to finish learning and perfecting her Italian. A busy professional and mom, she does not have a lot of time spare time but when she does, she enjoys reading, designing and sewing clothes and learning about NYC Architecture.
